Casing

What is a
Carterisation?

Casing is the process of manufacturing plastic casings, which are envelopes or housings designed to protect internal components or improve the functionality of machinery and equipment. These housings are often used for industrial, mechanical and electronic applications.

Manufacturing Process

  1. Design and Modelling : We start by designing the crankcase, using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software to create detailed models. This stage includes taking into account the exact dimensions, the necessary openings, and the mounting characteristics.
  2. Manufacture of components : Crankcase parts are manufactured from plastics such as polycarbonate, nylon or reinforced polyester, using techniques such as machining, injection moulding or water jet cutting.
  3. Assembly and Testing : The crankcase components are assembled, and tests are carried out to ensure quality and functionality. We check fit, tightness and resistance to the intended conditions of use.

Common Applications

  • Electronic equipment: Protection of sensitive electronic components in industrial environments.
  • Industrial machinery: Protective enclosures for machinery, reducing the risk of accidents and contamination.
  • Mechanical devices: Housings for motors and other mechanical devices, offering protection against debris and environmental conditions.

Benefits

  • Protection: Ensures the safety and durability of internal components.
  • Customisation: Made-to-measure design to suit specific needs.
  • Durability: Materials resistant to impacts, chemicals and environmental conditions.
