TIVAR® Very high molecular weight polyethylene [PE-UHMW]

Artois plastique offers a wide range of virgin, partially recycled, coloured or modified ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene semi-finished products manufactured by compression moulding or extrusion. In less demanding applications in terms of wear and impact resistance, PE 500 can provide an economical alternative to standard TIVAR products. It is a versatile polyethylene grade, used mainly in the food industry [meat and fish processing, but also in all types of mechanical, chemical and electrical applications].

Gears, sliding parts, wear plates, support rollers, tensioners and deflectors, cable pulleys, chain wheels, shock absorbers, scraper blades, piston rings and packings, seals, valves, hammer heads, screw conveyors, star wheels and elbows, curve guides, package chutes, pumps, filter plates, gripper fingers, impact caps, silo liners, package chutes and bulk material funnels, punching plates, cutting boards.

NUANCES

TIVAR® 1000 [PE-UHMW; naturel (blanc), vert, noir, couleurs – disponible comme “Food Grade” TIVAR 1000 présente un ensemble de propriétés très bien équilibrées. Il combine une très bonne résistance à l’usure et à l’abrasion avec une excellente résistance aux chocs, même à des températures jusqu’à -200 °C.
TIVAR® 1000 antistatic [PE-UHMW + noir de carbone; noir – disponible comme “Food Grade” En incorporant une charge adaptée de carbone, le TIVAR 1000 antistatic offre des propriétés dissipatrices de charges électrostatiques souvent requises pour les composants en PE-UHMW opérant à des vitesses et à des rendements élevés, en maintenant les caractéristiques clés intrinsèques du PE-UHMW.
TIVAR® ECO green [PE-UHMW; green] This grade, partly made from recycled PE-UHMW material, has a lower overall level of properties and a lower cost than virgin TIVAR 1000. Compared with virgin PE 500, however, it has much better resistance to impact and wear. Our TIVAR ECO product has an attractive price-performance ratio for less demanding applications in all types of industry.
TIVAR® ECO antistatic black [PE-UHMW; black] This grade, partly made from recycled PE-UHMW material, has a lower overall level of properties and a lower cost than virgin TIVAR 1000. Compared with virgin PE 500, however, it has much better resistance to impact and wear. The incorporation of a suitable carbon filler gives this material its electrostatic charge dissipation properties. TIVAR ECO has an attractive price-performance ratio for less demanding applications in all types of industry.
PE 500 [PE-HMW; natural (white), green, black, colours] This product has a good combination of stiffness, resilience, mechanical damping capacity and resistance to wear and abrasion, and is easy to weld. PE 500 is a versatile polyethylene grade, used mainly in the food industry [meat and fish processing, but also in all kinds of mechanical, chemical and electrical applications].
